Just saw "Blade II" last night -- not a bad mindless action
flick; if you liked the first one, you should like this one.  One of
the interesting things about it was that Danny John-Jules (who played
"Cat" in the BBC TV series "Red Dwarf") played "Asad", one of a team
of vampires who'd been trained to go after Blade, but had to team up
with him against a new menace...
     Given the sucker/tongue thing the new menace attached to its
victims' throats, and Danny hunting it through dark corridors carrying
a big gun, I was getting major "Polymorph" deja-vu.  Danny did a good
job, though it was a little hard to believe Cat was this badass vamp.
     You gotta figure, when the other actors were complaining about
wearing fangs (they do take some getting used to), Danny just laughed
and said "I've been wearing these for eight years, pussy!"
     On the other hand, a vampire Cat would be pretty pissed off that
he was no longer able to constantly check out his reflection in
mirrors...
