ANTI-RATTLE SPRINGS
With the mechanical brake system on the Model A Ford, a
common problem was the noisy rattle of the metal brake rods. One way to
overcome noisy brake rods was to install anti-rattle springs. Below is a set of
anti-rattle springs manufactured by by the APCO Mossberg Corporation in Attleboro,
Massachusetts. APCO made many accessories for the Model A Ford. The springs
came in three sizes and clipped onto the brake rod and chassis.
