REAR VIEW MIRROR
WITH COMPASS
It is unsure if the mirror assembly pictured below
is indeed a Model A accessory. However, it was included on the page in hope that
someone may be able to provide some information on the piece. The mirror assembly
was recently offered for sale on Ebay. It consists of an inside rear view mirror
with a magnetic compass attached to the bottom. Stamped on the housing is Peru,
Ind., Made in USA, Model 102. When the seller was contacted, he stated that he had
bought the piece at a swap meet in Pomona, California and it had been marked as a Model A
mirror by the seller. He also said, since the bracket was identical to the mirror
bracket in his 1930 Town Sedan he had no reason to not believe it was true. A
friend has stated that the Model A Ford inside rear view mirror bracket was a
universal design and used on several types of cars.
