tcpcmd Change Notes

1.0B7.1 CHANGE NOTES (5/17/97)

1. tcpcmd.interfaces.getResponse (5/13/97)

Improved handling large, multi-line responses from particularly slow hosts (thanks to David Small for reporting this problem and providing a fix.)

2. tcpcmd.interfaces.tcpWaitForConnectAsync (4/28/97)

Wasn't automatically launching NetEvents (if used) before opening a listen stream. This probably affected only tcpcmd-based servers.
Coincidentally, we found that when using NetEvents, a "broken" listen would go unnoticed and "silence" the thread. The listen was closed, but not re-opened.
We now return a meaningful script error when this occurs -- mainline scripts can act accordingly.

3. tcpcmd.ftp.sureFilePath (4/25/97)

Was failing on NT servers, but could possibly have affected use with other servers.
I completely rewrote this, greatly simplifying the logic (apologies to Dick Munroe).

4. tcpcmd.interfaces.sendCommand (4/19/97)

Was causing problems with multi-line responses that returned different codes on the first and last lines.
This was affecting certain logon sequences that were verbose in username and password responses.
The fix is to use the last response code as the final response code rather than the first code.
