| Thomas Turner - 12 Bore Underlever Hammer Gun with "Nitro Proof" modern Steel Barrels and extractors. The barrel flats marked 2 1/2" chambers, 1 1/8oz load. The 28" barrels have bright shiney bores and choked IM/Cyl. The locks have rebounding hammers and are fitted with slide type hammer locks / safeties. The plates are nicely engraved with the makers name and edge scroll.The action and lock plates are grayed with faint traces of case color remaining in the protected areas. The barrel blue finish appears refinished and 99% remains. The semi-pistol grip butt stock measures 14 1/2" LOP including the metal butt plate. Drop in stock is 1 1/2" at comb with 2 1/4" at butt. | Thomas Horsley and Son, Makers, York - 12 Bore Sidelock with Ejectors and 2 3/4" Chambers. This 7 lb 3 1/2 oz Double Trigger classic sporting arm has 28" English sleeved barrels choked IMod/ICyl. The locks and action retain faint trace color and are edge or outline engraved with minor scroll work. Has classic "flat-Top" English checkering to the straight grip and splinter forend with early type of swing latch closure. The butt measures 14 1/2 LOP with a drop at comb of 1 1/4" and the heel at 1 3/4"; and ends in a lined wood butt. The sleeving "join line" is not readily visable. Original London proof with recent Birmingham Proof stamped to barrel flats. Appears to be an older restoration. Excellent overall condition with minor handling marks to the wood. | W.W.Greener - 12 Bore Boxlock with Ejectors. "Grade: E.H.25". This is the one of finest example of a classic upper grade original "Greener" I have encountered. The 28" bright bore barrels are choked Full/ICyl and retain about 98% of the original blue. This double trigger sporting gun has the usual cross bolt action and a manual safety to the left side of the forward portion of the butt stock.The action is profusely engraved with game bird scenes and scolls; the bottom plate and trigger guard are engraved in floral pattern. Overall, the action retains about 80% of the case color. The exceptional wood has sharp checkering to the straight grip and splinter type forend fitted with a horn tip. The butt stock shows very minor handling marks and measures 15" LOP. With this fine sporting gun comes the original "Hang Tag" listing the specifications and the buyer; B.A. Blackdew, 1929. The 28" barrels are choked F/Cyl and have bright shiney bores. The nicely figured wood has re-cut checkering to the Splinter forend and straight grip. The LOP measures 14 1/2". Exceptional original sporting gun with about 60% of the original case color and 96% of the blue remaining. This 6 Lb. 12 Oz. sporting arm has 30" barrels choked IMod/Cyl with 2 1/2" chambers and bright bores. Horn butt plate and tip on forend. Very nice wood with sharp checkering and very minor handling marks. The LOP measures 14 1/2".
