ABOUT THE BAND
Here's how it happened.
When all of the Christmas lights burn out in the practice space so shall end the stereo.
Catch em while you can or don’t, you’ll be sorry either way.

Pre 1998
Brooke had been playing in the slo-fi project Lint.
Jeff, Gino and Steve had played for several years in the indie rock band Crazy Alice

1998
*AM Stereo formed in the Fall of 1998.

2000
Salem based label Intelligent Records releases MA Stereo self-titled EP
*AM Stereo loses WNCN Rock'n Roll Rumble.

2002
Follow-up full length CD "Suffocation Town" released on Intelligent Records.

2004
*AM Stereo has played shows with bands as diverse as The Hiss, Tegan and Sara, Tommy Stinson, and the Democratic Gain Convention Jumpoff Party with Lauryn Hill and Mission Of Burma.
*AM Stereo works to Complete second full length release "Chinese Democracy" to be released on Can't Finda Label.
Some songs recorded at the Outpost with Jim Siegel, and a bunch more with Rafi and Ed V. at Q Division.
*AM Stereo continues to unpolish their sound reminiscent of 90's bands Superchunk and Pavement, 80's bands the Replacements and Soul Asylum, and 70's bands REO Speedwagon and Firefall. (although not as good)

2005
Jeff, Steve and Gino always try to play “rock lobster” at every practice but brooke won’t let them.
*AM Stereo becomes addicted to pool and stops editing web site.

2006 - 2008
...a blur...

2009
Currently back in the Studio with Rafi and Ed V. at Q Division working on our most poignant and introspective ballads to date.
