Planning Your Final Project
Adding Interesting Graphics


Objectives:
-Adding a variety of graphics: Digital photos, Kidpix drawings, scanned work
-Adding an email button
-Finishing the Final Webpage for the School Homepage to include a title, photo, paragraph about your class or program, hot links to the Internet, an email link and a link back to the school homepage index


Activities:
l. Warmup: Begin your work today by visiting the Allnutt Web Delivered Instruction Internet site.  Choose something of interest to you.  Be ready to tell others about it.
 

2. Class Opening:  Open Session Five  in your course syllabus using Netscape (http://www.erols.com/allnutt).  Discuss objectives for today.   New information is :  adding an email link to your site and Internal Links.   Examine the handouts for this class.

3.  Second Activity: Look at the Questions and Answers handout to review what we have learned so far.  Open up your webpage from the server.  Use this resource to continue working on your project. See the Sample Webpage developed for you as a guideline.

4. Third Activity: Everyone will now plan to link their page to their school homepage.  Franklin teachers can plan their links.

5. Fourth Activity: Evaluate this course .  Your info will be used to improve the course for others.

Bonus: Use the scanner and the digital camera.

Bonus: Go to the Thinkquest Junior Contest entries.  This is an annual contest for 4th - sixth grade teams of students to write websites and publish them.  They are wonderful.  Go see.
