Thematic Units involve research. Students can be given
roles to complete the research: the geographer, the writer, the
editor, the accountant, the artist, the astronomer, the interviewer.
Content skills, tech skills, and social skills are
being taught, modeled and encouraged
The real world of adults expects Collaboration
for most work, so we need to give more emphasis to this strategy
In cooperative learning, strategies to assure individual
accountability are built in to lessons
