Telecomputing Fundamentals

Description:  In this five-session introductory class, participants will learn: how to connect to the Internet both through a network connection and by using a modem; how to use electronic mail to send and receive messages; how to use browser software to access information on the WWW; how to use conferences/newsgroups for public discussion; using the resources of Virginia Public Education Network; discussion of how telecommunications might be used in the classroom.
