In business for more than 24 years, the Wisconsin Avenue Women's Health Care Center is staffed by Board Certified Gynecologists and Obstetricians. We offer confidential personal care at an affordable cost.

Our practice is devoted to obstetrics and gynecology, including female infertility and family planning, office and operative gynecology and video laparoscopic procedures. We strive to give you the best possible medical care when you need it and hope you will feel comfortable and secure with the treatment you receive. When you have problems that fall outside the scope of our care, we will assist you in locating an appropriate specialist and work closely with them. You can expect to be treated professionally and courteously at all times. We are a health team concerned with your needs and welcome any suggestions you have that will help improve the care you receive.

We are on staff of the following hospitals: Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville and Sibley Hospital in Northwest Washington, D.C.

We are located near the Metro Red Line at Medical Center Station.

Medical Records and Confidentiality
All of your medical records are confidential. We will release your record and any part of it only if you give us written authorization. No matter what the circumstances, we will not release these records unless we have some notification that you wish us to do so. Our medical care is totally confidential for your own protection.

Telephone
Our telephone is answered by office personnel from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, with late office hours on Tuesday and Friday. After hours, the answering service will direct your call to the doctor. Please place all non-emergency calls during office hours when we have access to your medical record. If you require a prescription refill, please have your pharmacy call us.

Please be as specific as possible explaining your problems to the receptionist so that she can expedite a solution.

Appointments
Appointments are scheduled up to six weeks in advance. Emergencies are scheduled immediately. Please notify us as early as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment so that we can reschedule you and give that time to someone else. We make every attempt to honor your appointment on time; occasionally, this is impossible, and we request your understanding. If time is critical for you, please notify the receptionist and she will make every attempt to reschedule your appointment or get you in as soon as possible.

You will have the physician of your choice for your check-ups and scheduled visits. There may be times when you have an emergency problem which occurs at a time when your personal physician is not in the office. In that case, one of the other physicians in the group will be available to take care of your problem.

Fees
Our fees are within the customary range or lower for this area and reflect the level of care you will receive and the high level of training for the board-certified physicians in the group. We have standardized charges for various procedures. All fees for services rendered are to be paid at the time of service. All OB fees not covered by insurance are to be paid by the seventh month of pregnancy.

Insurance contracts are made between you and your insurance company. If your insurance does not cover all costs, you will be responsible for the rest.

A copy of the itemized bill will be given to the patient upon request at the time of service. We are unable to provide this at a later time since the bill will have been discarded. If the patient does not have insurance, payment is due at the time of services unless prior arrangements have been made with a staff member. We recommend that you discuss the fees for OB services or GYN surgery with our office manager to arrange a payment schedule that will be convenient and acceptable. Our office manager will be happy to discuss any and all fees with you.
