Have you ever thought about running a Bed and Breakfast at your
home?
Why not?. If you are kind of person who really enjoy meeting people and you
have an extra room or two, it might be perfect thing for you to do.
This is what I did:
- Bought a book ands read it thoroughly( Start and Run a Profitable Bed and
Breakfast by Monica Taylor, a must) and determined that running a B&B was my
cup of tea.
- Contacted a few B&B reservation services in my area.
- Signed up as their client. They made reservations, collected money
and paid me after they took 25% commission.
- Designed my own webpage and registered my web site with many search
engines.( I am a software developer by trade, but you can do it too)
- Reservation started coming in enough to quit the reservation agencies.
The most important thing is to determine if it's what you love to do or not.
You could be working full time( I did) and operate a B&B because the guests are
usually going out of the house and don't need you to be home until next morning.
I have met so many wonderful people and I recommend it if you like people.
Read a few books and see ... If you want ask me questions, send me a email.(
aikop@erols.com). I would be glad to help
you.
Good luck !
