AHOME
AHOME is a non-profit, Arlington based organization which works to promote and expand homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate- income and minority people and families who want to purchase their first home in the close-in suburbs of Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church. Take a moment to learn more about the programs we offer.
About AHOME
AHOME was formed in 1989 by long-time Arlington residents to fill a void in the County’s housing services to low- and moderate- income and minority people. Governed by a Board of Directors that works with three part-time staff, AHOME works to bridge the increasing gap between the dream of homeownership and its reality for low- and moderate- income people.
AHOME’s "Achieve Your Dream" program provides monthly home buyer education workshops in English and Spanish to first-time home buyers. For individuals who want to buy a home but need more time to get ready, AHOME offers a home buyer’s club. AHOME provides individual counseling for people who may need special attention or have a specific issue that needs to be addressed.
