Favorite Links
Here's a collection of some
of my favorite links, organized into a few categories. I'll add more
links as I think of them.
Technical Communication
Here are some of the best
links I have found on technical communications subjects.
- PDFZone
is the place to go if you're interested in learning how to use Adobe®
Acrobat® to create PDF files. They have discussion
lists and all kinds of helpful information.
- As a resident of the Washington
DC area, I find STC's
Washington DC Chapter page to contain a wealth of information
on local resources and events. Their job bank is excellent.
- Webreview
contains tons of helpful information for Web information developers.
- Lynda Weinman's site,
Lynda.com, has great links, and
is nice to look at.
- Here is an awesome site
I heard about through the WinHelp list. It uses a Flash movie to illustrate
how the Cape
Hatteras Light was moved 2,900 feet inland. The site doesn't take
too long to load, and the short wait is really worth it!
- OK, I had to do it. Here's
a link to the Techcomm
Web Site. Their motto: Give us five minutes and we'll waste it
for you.
Cats
- Here's a really long list
of cat links.
If you're a cat lover like me, you're bound to find something of interest
here. You'll find some really cute cat pictures, too, but none as
cute as mine.
- On a related note, here
are the words to the song Stray
Cat Strut.
- I used to be mainly interested
in cute cat pictures, but since my cat Lydia was diagnosed with chronic
renal failure (CRF) a couple of months ago, things for me have taken
a more serious turn. Here's a site that put me in touch with some
folks who know a lot about the care and treatment of CRF: The Feline
CRF Information Center.
On another serious
note ...
Please click the link below
to donate food to needy people around the world. There's no obligation
to you... the food is donated by the site's sponsors of the day.
