On the 20th of May 1923, the stork, though tired, visited the paternal home in Santiago and delivered
Machaco. His childhood was influenced by the adventures and excitement of living with his older
brothers, already accomplished musicians. He later attended the 'Colegio Sarmiento'.
He was so young when he joined the
Hermanos Abalos that he had to dress up to look of age for late night shows.
He is an intuitive musician and also has the perfect voice
for singing 'vidalas'. He plays the guitar for the group
and also lends his melodious voice to those of his brothers. He had one daughter, named after his great
grandmother, Alejandra. She died too soon and is greatly missed. |
